Dad, you spoke of grandpa so well and your speech was perfect. I could picture him perfectly when you were talking about how patient he could be – it makes me think back to when I was a small child and used to stay with him sometimes. He was always so calm and composed and I can’t say that I always was as a kid. Your comment about him always worrying about others could not have been more true. When I lived with him during university, he was always worried if I was hungry, or thirsty, or cold, or hot! He would always put others before himself and that didn’t change even at the end.
I miss him so much but I hope he has peace. I also hope there is enough of the troublemaker left within him that he comes back to haunt us. I would certainly be happy to see him again.
